My name in Matt, and I've been an employee at Verizon for five years now and also am currently a marketing major at the University of Connecticut. When I first started seeing these codes show up at my work, I began quickly noticing that they exploded all over the place. I decided to create this site for others in marketing or who work with cell phones to learn more about what QR codes are all about and how someone can use this tool to expand their business.
I was born in Detroit, Michigan. I don't remember much of it, since we moved when I was five. The few parts I do remember are driving around the city sitting in the backseat of my dad's old station wagon and going to the beach. I was always very interested in business because after we moved, my dad opened his own restaurant. He named it Dante's and ran it until he was diagnosed with cancer in 2005. He decided to sell it to his cousin Dennis, but later it was closed as business dropped significantly. My dad passed in 2007, and he is my inspiration for everything that I do in life.I have two younger brothers, Shane and Jared. Shane is 18 years old and Jared is 16. They still live at home with our mom.
Since I'm in school now, that takes up most of my time. When I'm not studying, I'm usually at work. I really like my job at Verizon because I always have first dibs on the new phones. I'm actually pretty good at sales too. I also love running. I compete in a lot of area races.

- Your favorite things to do? I love running. I usually try to do a couple miles a day. It's a great stress reliever and a lot more fun than just going to the gym and mindlessly staring into space while using what feels like a hamster wheel.
